Q: I have a question regarding my personal account information?

A: We hope these FAQs will address any questions you have right now but if you have a specific question not addressed here, feel free to contact us. You may contact us by signing into ESP below, navigating to Account Management and choosing the Support tab.

Q: Now that I’ve chosen a new payment method of PayPal what can I expect?

A: Depending on your situation one, or more, of the following may apply:

Pending payments in GBP, EUR or AUD: If you were previously being paid in GBP, EUR, or AUD and have payments pending in those currencies, those payments will be issued via your previous payment method and currency. If you are uncertain when this will begin check your statements. If they are in USD then we will issue your payment in USD.

Royalty statements will be in USD: If you previously had royalty statements showing USD converted to some other currency (GBP, EUR or AUD) you will no longer see this. If you are uncertain when this will begin check your statements. If they are in USD then we will issue your payment in USD.

New payment currency will be USD: If you were previously being paid in a currency other than USD that will change. Getty Images will be issuing payments to PayPal and Payoneer in USD exclusively. If your local currency is not USD you will incur currency conversion fees from PayPal or Payoneer. If you are uncertain when this will begin check your statements. If they are in USD then we will issue your payment in USD.

PayPal payment acceptance: If we’ve issued you a payment via PayPal you need to accept it. Sign into your PayPal account to accept the payment within 30 days. If you don’t accept the payment will be cancelled and returned to us. Your account will be placed on payment hold and you will be contacted and asked to provide current payment details. The payment would be re-attempted during the first available royalty payment cycle after the hold has been removed from your account. Royalty payments are processed on the 25th of each month.

PayPal payment rejection: If you chose a new payment method of PayPal and payment is issued the account registration must be complete and you must accept the payment within 30 days. If not, the payment will be rejected and returned to us. Your account will be placed on payment hold and you will be contacted and asked to provide current payment details. The payment would be re-attempted during the first available royalty payment cycle after the hold has been removed from your account. Royalty payments are processed on the 25th of each month. Future payment and address updates: It’s important to realize any banking specific changes you’ll need to manage directly with PayPal and not with Getty Images.
You will be able to switch between PayPal and Payoneer, if needed, via Getty Images account management and you will want to keep your profile information (email) up to date with us to ensure you receive communications from us. If you have questions regarding a missing payment you’ll want to contact us using the support section of account management.

Q: What are the payment fees that I will be charged?

A: The fee schedule for each payment type is as follows. These fees are charged by the payment processor:

Fees indicated are the fees the third party charges for choosing that payment option and do not include monthly maintenance fees, exchange rate fees, or bank fees. Most fees that PayPal charge will be made clear while registering for your PayPal account and are included in your agreement with PayPal.

Q: What are exchange rate fees?
A: Getty Images will issue payment in USD. If the payment requires conversion to local currency PayPal will charge an exchange fee.

Q: What is it going to cost me to receive my payment?

A: What it will cost to receive payment is going to vary by contributor. The method you choose, the country you are in, and the currency conversion (if applicable) will all determine your individual cost.
